Wilson's Home Hardware Building Centre is looking for a motivated and organized Shipper/Receiver to join our Barrington team. If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment, take pride in staying organized, and want to be part of a team that keeps our store running efficiently, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Receive and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage.
- Verify purchase orders against packing slips and invoices.
- Unload trucks safely using forklifts and other equipment.
- Receive inventory into our system and process paperwork accurately.
- Organize stock in the warehouse and yard.
- Prepare transfers and outgoing shipments between stores.
- Process damaged goods, returns, and Return-to-Vendor (RTV) items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Work closely with Sales, Yard, and Management to ensure products are available for customers.
What We're Looking For
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience is considered an asset.
- Forklift certification or experience is an asset (training available for the right candidate).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
- Comfortable using computers and learning inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude with a strong focus on safety and customer service.
