Duties
- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and power tools with precision and care
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute painting projects according to specifications
- Use rigging techniques and hand tools to access hard-to-reach areas safely and efficiently
- Perform restoration work on older or damaged surfaces to restore their original appearance and integrity
- Operate power tools safely for surface preparation and finishing tasks while maintaining equipment in good condition
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate project timelines and address any concerns promptly
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on residential painting or related trades such as carpentry or industrial painting
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to construction painting projects
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, caulking, rigging, and scaffolding techniques
- Knowledge of restoration processes and techniques for both interior and exterior surfaces
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
- Prior experience working with commercial or industrial painting projects is a plus but not required
