Job Overview
Fine Education is a tutoring academy in the Burnaby primarily supporting international students from Korea. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science & Math Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, delivering effective instruction, and assessing student progress in alignment with the BC curriculum.
Requirements
- Able to teach Science 10–12 and/or Math 8–12
- Graduated from a Canadian high school or secondary school
- Strong English communication skills are essential
- Korean language proficiency is a plus and warmly welcomed
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with BC curriculum and educational standards
- Teach Science 10, Physics 11, and Chemistry 11 (Subject assignments may vary and expand depending on the needs of the academy.)
- Apply a variety of instructional methods to engage and support diverse learners
- Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects
- Provide individualized support to students with additional learning needs
Experience
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics or Science at the secondary level is highly desirable
- Tutoring or student support experience is an asset
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
