Our client in Brampton (Tobram and Steels) is seeking Extuder Operators for various shifts.
Need experience in Plastics and/or come from a Flexible Packaging background
Shifts:
Weekend Days - Friday to Sunday 7am to 7pm
Weekend Nights - Friday to Sunday 7am to 7pm
Weekday Nights - Monday to Thursday 7am to 7pm
Payrate:
Pay Range: $25.61 to $26.79/hr
Shift Premiums: $1.00/hr for Nights plus additional .50cts/hr if working the Weekend Shift
This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by operating and maintaining extrusion machinery used in the manufacturing process, in addition to, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Tasks

Safley sets up, operates, and monitors extrusion machinery and equipment as intended and needed to meet customer and production goals.
Completes extrusion machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipement to ensure proper operation.
Monitors the production process, inspects and tests materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met.
Verifies and tracks all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.
Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.
Trains and provides guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.
Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
Qualifications, Education and Experience
HS/GED required; HS/GED preferred
2-4 years' experience in a related field experience in a related field required.
This position has no leadership duties.
Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision-making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
