Duties
- Answer incoming customer phone calls and respond to email inquiries.
- Receive and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist walk-in customers at the office and determine their product requirements.
- Prepare quotations, sales orders, invoices, and related documentation.
- Provide customers with product availability, pricing, order status, and delivery or pickup information.
- Transfer completed orders to the warehouse for picking and preparation.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure orders are processed correctly and on time.
- Follow up on open, delayed, incomplete, or backordered items.
- Order missing products from approved local suppliers when required.
- Monitor outstanding supplier orders and provide updates to customers and internal staff.
- Search for alternative products or suppliers when a requested item is unavailable.
- Recommend suitable substitute products based on the customer’s requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer, order, pricing, and product information in the company’s system.
- Communicate order changes, shortages, substitutions, and special instructions clearly.
- Develop a working knowledge of TROTON Canada’s automotive refinishing and industrial coatings product lines.
- Support the sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams with daily operational tasks.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and customer-oriented order desk.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work on-site Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service, order processing, inside sales, wholesale distribution, or a similar position.
- Experience in automotive refinishing, collision repair products, industrial coatings, paint distribution, automotive parts, or a related industry.
- Experience working with local suppliers and managing backorders or special-order products.
Qualifications
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Professional telephone and email communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering orders and preparing invoices.
- Ability to manage multiple orders, customer requests, and priorities at the same time.
- Good organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using computers, email, Microsoft Office, and order-entry or inventory-management systems.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and warehouse staff.

Pay: $33.00-$38.00 per hour
