As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, residents, and families while maintaining confidentiality of resident information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, maintaining resident records, scheduling resident tests and/or treatments, booking wheelchair van, assisting with calls to fill shifts with sick calls, photocopying, faxing, and filing. Other duties will be assigned as needed.
- Hours of work are Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays- .8 FTE
- Range $20.70 to $24.00 depending on experience.
Job requirements:
- Preference given to those who have completed a Unit Clerk Certificate Program and have training in PCC.
- Post-secondary business courses may be considered in the absence of Unit Clerk Certificate.
- General office experience is required and experience in long term care is an asset.
- You must also have knowledge of various computer programs including Microsoft office, Windows, and Excel.
- We will also require a clean criminal record check as well as a current immunization record.
