Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Helper to support our label production and shipping operations. This dual-role position combines hands-on production support in our finishing department with shipping responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a manufacturing setting, can handle physical tasks, and pays close attention to accuracy and safety.
Duties
- Operate and monitor the finishing units to process printed labels efficiently and to specification.
- Pack finished label boxes securely and accurately, ensuring proper labeling and count verification.
- Assist press operators by preparing materials (e.g., substrates, inks, dies, or tooling) for upcoming jobs and changeovers.
- Load/unload materials onto machines, feed stock as needed, and support smooth production flow.
- Perform basic quality checks during finishing processes and report any issues to supervisors or operators.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the production and finishing zones.
- Help with general production support tasks, such as material handling, waste removal, and minor cleanup.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, printing, or warehouse environment is an asset
- Ability to read and follow job tickets, specifications, and safety procedures.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) repeatedly, standing for extended periods, bending, and moving materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for entering data, scanning, or using inventory/shipping software.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious with a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
