Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a truck to transport goods from one location to another. Often requiring drives to locations such as Halifax, New Brunswick, Montreal and Toronto
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance as needed
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Communicate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation
Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL - Class 1)
- Clean driving record with no accidents or violations
- Ability to operate trucks of various sizes and types
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
- Good communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Basic automotive repair skills to handle minor maintenance issues on the road

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

- Meteghan River, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
