Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Handle cash handling duties and POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems
- Monitor daily operations to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Lead team meetings, provide coaching, and foster a collaborative work environment
- Assist with interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to health codes
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management capabilities
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Skilled in food handling procedures and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
- Background in hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and restaurant operations is highly desirable
