Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Material Handler specializing in Drexel Swing Reach and Forklift operations to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for efficient inventory management, order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse distribution systems, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment. Duties
- Operate Drexel Swing Reach forklifts and clamp trucks to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking and order fulfillment using forklift and warehouse management system (WMS) tools
- Assist in inventory management by accurately recording stock movements and maintaining organized storage areas
- Conduct basic maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Ensure safe handling of heavy loads through proper lifting techniques and adherence to safety protocols
- Support warehouse distribution activities by preparing shipments for delivery or storage
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and verifying order accuracy
Experience
- Prior experience operating forklift equipment, specifically Drexel Swing Reach or similar machinery, is highly preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and systems such as WMS is advantageous
- Experience with clamp trucks, order pickers, or other material handling equipment is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices for heavy lifting
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurement tasks
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
This role requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking within the warehouse. Candidates should demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.
Pay: $18.03-$20.00 per hour
