Position: Journeyman Pipefitter- Plant Shutdown / Turnaround
Salary: $47.50/hr - Journeyman Rate
Location: Local Edmonton based projects and Out of town projects upcoming
Temporary 1 Month shutdown duration - 12 hour days (in camp)
Start date- TBD
Qualified individuals will be provided with a schedule.
Seeking to fill 4 Positions for Journeyman Pipe fitter. Position will involve removing equipment, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of components (Valves, piping systems). Installing new piping, flanges, and all testing. Tools and PPE provided (Except steel toed boots)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Breakdown, Inspect, Diagnose, and make recommendations regarding the extent of repairs
- Repair the equipment in a timely and financially responsible manner
- Testing and QC of equipment after repair
- Work as a team, training apprentices, coordinating with other departments
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals
- Employ workplace health and safety practices at all times
- Be motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess a Journey person Pipefitter or Apprentice in periods 3/4. and have at least 3-4 years relevant exp. Other requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Interprovincial Red Seal is considered an asset
- Experience in repair/maintenance and replacement of piping in chemical manufacturing plants
- Experience with Plant shutdown/turnaround projects
- Strong commitment to safety
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Tickets Required: H2S Alive, CSTS, Confined Space, Fall Protection and Fit Testing (3M 6000 Series)
