Materials Handler / Production Worker
Location: Delta, BC
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary Contract (May 25 – October 2026)
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Our client, a leading company in the food equipment manufacturing industry, is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Materials Handler / Production Worker to join their operations team in Delta, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in supporting production operations efficiently and safely.
We are looking for someone who is available to start immediately. This contract position is expected to continue through October 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Move materials and products throughout the facility to designated work centres and storage locations
- Prepare and kit job orders for production
- Work closely with planning and manufacturing supervisors to help keep production schedules on track
- Notify Production and Purchasing teams of material shortages or outages
- Verify inventory counts and part locations as needed
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and use required safety equipment
- Assist with additional warehouse or production duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous material handling or warehouse experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems is an asset
- Basic computer skills required
- Good English communication and comprehension skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally without assistance
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles is an asset
