Welbec Properties is seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skill set in facilities maintenance and repair, with a strong emphasis on apartment renovations. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The Handyman will be responsible for maintaining the functionality and appearance of two low rise apartment buildings.
Responsibilities
- Renovate apartment upon unit turnover
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on various systems, including plumbing and electrical.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Landscaping and exterior groundskeeping
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing Tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements
- Previous renovation experience
- Basic electrical and plumbing experience for changing electrical outlets, toilets, and vanities.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must have valid BC drivers license
