The Role
Sunsel is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager (PCBs) to lead and strengthen our Quality Assurance department and Quality Management System within a certified electronics manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role carries full responsibility for the effectiveness, integrity, and continuous improvement of Sunsel’s Quality Management System (QMS). You will lead the QA team, support production through in-process and final inspection, oversee audits and corrective actions, and act as a key interface between quality, operations, engineering, and customers.
This position is well-suited to a QA professional who values structured systems, technical rigor, and the opportunity to influence manufacturing quality at both the operational and strategic levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, schedule, and develop the Quality Assurance team to ensure effective coverage and efficient use of resources
- Maintain, monitor, and continuously improve Sunsel’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
- Establish, document, and enforce quality procedures to ensure consistent product quality and reliability
- Plan and execute internal audits, surveillance activities, and management review inputs
- Act as the primary liaison with customers, auditors, and external stakeholders on quality-related matters
- Drive corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities, including root-cause analysis and effectiveness verification
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, supporting failure analysis and corrective action development
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process changes through risk analysis (e.g., FMEA) and validation activities
- Prepare quality metrics and reports to support data-driven decision making and continuous improvement
- Oversee calibration systems to ensure all measurement and inspection equipment meets requirements
- Perform or support PCB and PCBA inspections as needed, including visual inspection, AOI, X-ray, in-process, and first-article inspections
- Prepare and maintain Certificates of Conformance and quality documentation
- Support compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the quality function
What You Bring
Experience & Qualifications
- Electronics Engineering Technician / Technologist diploma or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in quality leadership within electronics manufacturing or a similar regulated manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with ISO 9001:2015 quality systems
- Strong background in root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and audit management
- IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification (required)
- Experience conducting or supporting FMEAs
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and management
- Experience balancing compliance, production support, and continuous improvement objectives
