We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations across both warehouse locations. This role is responsible for coordinating floor activities including picking, packing, receiving, inventory management, and workflow organization while ensuring high standards of safety, productivity, and order accuracy.The ideal candidate must have prior warehouse experience and hands-on experience operating warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. This position requires strong interpersonal abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a strong focus on Safety, Quality, and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily warehouse operations including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and order processing.
- Lead, direct, and support warehouse staff to ensure productivity goals, timelines, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Ensure all customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped with a zero-error standard while maintaining high customer service expectations.
- Coordinate receiving operations and ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of incoming inventory.
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
- Monitor employee performance, assign daily tasks, assist with shift planning, and support workload balancing between warehouse locations.
- Conduct and oversee regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Develop and implement efficient inventory storage and placement strategies to improve picking efficiency and maximize warehouse space utilization.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
- Lead monthly safety meetings and promote ongoing safety awareness and compliance across both warehouse facilities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in warehouse processes, workflow efficiency, inventory accuracy, and team productivity.
- Perform general warehouse duties as required, including material handling, loading/unloading, equipment maintenance, and facility upkeep.
- Provide support with administrative or office-related tasks when required.
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling duties up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Mandatory experience operating reach trucks and forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Mandatory prior warehouse experience in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification is considered a strong asset.
- Proven team lead experience within a warehouse environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including inventory management, shipping/receiving, picking, packing, and materials handling.
- Proven ability to maintain high accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory control processes.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and standards.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and organization.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role in a fast-paced setting.
