The selected candidate will receive a bonus of $2,500 for successfully completing the 3 month probationary period and will also receive an additional $2,500 bonus after completing 1 full year of employment.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of diesel-powered vehicles ensuring optimal performance and safety. Strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and the ability to interpret schematics are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and related components across various makes & models.
- Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections
- Repair or replace faulty electrical components using schematics and electrical knowledge
- Utilize welding and fabrication skills to repair structural or mechanical damage
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of components during repairs or upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment efficiently to complete tasks
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and related mechanical needs
- Dealership experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair, HVAC systems, welding techniques, electrical systems, and schematics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment required for repairs
- Good customer service skills for interactions with clients or team members involved in service processes
