Maple Leaf Metals is an Edmonton-based metal recycling operation with a Fort McKay operating location that purchases all types of metal scrap for processing, packaging, and resale. Operations include purchasing and selling scrap, heavy machinery operation, repair and maintenance of machinery, sorting of scrap, and processing of scrap material.
Maple Leaf Metals is seeking a local truck driver in Fort McMurray who is self-motivated, proactive, outgoing, eager to learn individual with a great work ethic to become an essential part of the Maple Leaf Metals team as a Class 1 air endorsed truck driver. The successful candidate must have 3-5 years of experience, must have a Canadian Class 1 License and be air endorsed, experience strapping and tying down loads, a clean drivers abstract in the last 5 years. Responsibilities include picking up scrap metal from various sites, operating heavy equipment, and work with a team to meet Maple Leaf Metals customer's needs and maintain compliance with Maple Leaf Metals safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a Maple Leaf Metals truck to pick up scrap metal from various sites within the Fort McMurray Region
- Build customer relationships by providing excellent customer service
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5 years experience
- Clean drivers abstract for the last 5 years
- Must have an Air Endorsed Canadian Class 1 License
- Experience strapping and tying down loads
- Have good knowledge of the city
- Experience or comfort in an industrial environment
- Experience working within a team environment
- Commitment to safety
- Strong communication skills
- Logical, highly organized, and results-driven
- Ability to focus, prioritize and multi-task with efficiency

- Monday to Friday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm and 8:00 am - 5:00 pm on some Saturdays
