We are looking for 20 General Laborer's with experience working in the Meat industry for our client located in Mississauga.
Major Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate must be open to work the Day shift from Monday - Friday. This is a stable long term job.
- The department is fairly cold and can even be below zero. Therefore, they must dress appropriately.
- Steel toe boots, CSA approved.
- They need to be able to lift a minimum of 30 kg.
- They will be working with raw meat and need to be able to handle all types of meat including pork.
- The work will be bloody so candidate needs to be able to handle this type of work
- Must be able to work in environment which smells like meat
- They must follow food safety restrictions including no jewelry, fake eyelashes, fake nails etc. All food safety guidelines will be instructed to them on their first day.
- May be required to wear cumbersome protective clothing or equipment.
- Required to lift, carry or handle heavy objects.
- Required to stand and walk for long periods of time during shift.
- Required to work in a cold environment for prolonged periods of time.
- MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK ENGLISH.
- MUST HAVE VALID STUDY PERMIT/WORK PERMIT/CITIZEN/PR
- NO APPLIED STATUS
- MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
Shift Timing:
- Day Shift (6:30AM - Until shift completed). Some days shift may be 10-11 hours depending on production. Must be able to work longer shifts when required.
- Must have 5 days availability
