Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Wonton Production Supervisor to oversee our wonton production team in a fast-paced commercial food production environment. The successful candidate will supervise daily production operations, ensure consistent product quality, maintain food safety standards, and lead the team in meeting production targets.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of the wonton production team.
- Lead, train, coach, and evaluate production employees to ensure productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
- Monitor daily production targets and ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Prepare work schedules and assign duties to production staff.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.
- Monitor product quality and ensure consistency with company specifications.
- Assist in inventory control and production planning.
- Recommend improvements to production methods and workflow to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Perform hands-on wonton production, including hand-wrapping, as required.
- Report production issues and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Food Handler Certificate.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience leading a food production or commercial kitchen team of at least five (5) employees.
- Demonstrated experience in high-volume wonton or dumpling production.
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently hand-wrap wontons in a high-volume commercial production environment, with the ability to meet established production targets (approximately 130 wontons within 30 minutes while maintaining company quality standards).
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Must be available to work day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays, based on operational requirements.
- Frequent standing, repetitive hand movements, and lifting of materials up to 25 kg.
- Work in a commercial food production facility with refrigerated and hot production areas.
