Continuing Education invites applications for TEACHERS for
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROGRAM: FUN WITH MATH AND LITERACY (GRADES 1-5)
Summer 2026
Effective Dates Hours
Friday, July 3, 2026 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 am (1 hour staff meeting)
Monday, July 6, 2026 - Friday, July 24, 2026 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (2.5 hours of instruction for 15 days)
Teachers are responsible for delivering a total of 38.5 hours of instruction.
Location:
Our Lady of the Lake CA - Keswick
Positions and site locations based on student enrollment.
Rate of Pay - $55.37
The Successful Candidate Will:

Deliver the Ontario curriculum in language and mathematics to students in grades 1 - 5.

Use foundational and supplementary resources to deliver the program.

Demonstrate competency in delivering curriculum to students in cross-grade groupings.
- Utilize knowledge of differentiated instruction and high-yield strategies to engage students in learning.

Assist students in the development of social, participation, and cooperation skills.

Contact parents before the start of the program to confirm student placement and communicate as required.

Demonstrate previous experience in teaching remediation literacy and numeracy programs.
- Demonstrate the ability to integrate 21st-century learning skills into the program.

Demonstrate excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Provide parent feedback as required based on the student's needs.

Be able to commit to the duration of the summer program.

Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
