Mercato di Luigi (Chinatown location - 213 E Georgia) is seeking a Sous Chef to join the team! Our location features an Italian market, deli, and café by day, transforming into a full-service restaurant by night (Cantina di Luigi, inspired by our very own Ask for Luigi), celebrating the essence of Italian cuisine with a focus on simplicity and fresh local ingredients.
Please note, evening and weekend availability required.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in a Sous Chef, Lead Cook, Chef de Partie, or similar
- Experience with Italian cuisine (especially cooking pasta!) is a huge asset
- Excellent at both collaborative teamwork and thriving independently
- A passion for hospitality and a positive attitude
- Food Safe Level One required
- First Aid is an asset
