Vedder is looking for a Mechanic / fabricator to join our team. If you are a hard working team player with a positive attitude then we are looking for you.
This position would be responsible for the following:
- Organize Jobs
- Repair tankers, trucks, and trailers
- Solid knowledge of 12V electrical systems
- Experience with PTO, pump, cooler and hydraulic systems
- Trailer wiring and basic electrical work
- Knowledge of Hydrolic systems is an asset
- Fabrications and installations
- Move trucks and trailers
- Repair and maintain shop equipment
- Welding
- Assist with quotes when required
The ideal candidate must be able to:
- Have your own toolbox/tools
- Willing and able to take direction
- Confined Space Ticket is an asset
- Experience with trailer mechanics is an asset
- Welding ticket is required
- Experience in the transportation industry is an asset
- Minimum 2 years fabrication is required
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a heavy duty shop
- Must be able to communicate well with co-workers and management
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight time restraints
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and safety policies
This position would work 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday
