Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling food preparation, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to company standards and customer orders
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and handling cash or card payments
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing customer inquiries and upselling menu items when appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen stations, and food handling surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service and order completion
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Assist in food presentation and ensure proper portioning according to quality standards
- Follow all sanitation procedures, including proper glove use, cleaning schedules, and food safety protocols
- Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Experience with food preparation, cashiering, or serving roles demonstrates strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is advantageous
- Basic math skills are necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
