Flash Frame Film & Video Network is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2001, and we are dedicated to advancing art production in Northwestern Ontario. Job DESCRIPTION:
- Support ongoing Flash Frame film and local digital media productions by helping record high quality audio during interviews, workshops, community shoots, and on location filming.
- Help create a sound effects library for use by members.
- Assist with sound setup for Docs North productions and other hands on training programs.
- Assist with sound design, editing and mixing on collaborative media projects using Pro-tools or any other industry standard software.
- Organize, label, and manage audio files for multiple projects at once, ensuring a clear workflow for post production teams.
- Provide on site technical support during shoots, including troubleshooting audio issues
- keeping an updated inventory and assisting with equipment setup and teardown for workshops and productions.
- Participate in team meetings and offer input that strengthens the quality of Flash Frame’s films and community storytelling projects
Qualifications: Candidate Criteria· Candidate must be a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field.· Candidate must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship in the 2020 Mandate.· Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.· Candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada.· Once hired, the candidate must reside in the Northern Ontario community in which they are employed.
Education: A college diploma in Sound recording or Media Production or practical experience especially with sound recording and sound design and several media credits for production and post production. The intern will demonstrate a proficiency with production equipment and post production software such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and ProTools.
35 hours per week, $41,860 over 12 months. Application Deadline: 16 June 2026
