Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant in Nursing to support our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses with patient care activities, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols
- Maintain detailed documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for patient records and communication
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes or concerns promptly
- Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical records
- Uphold infection control procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient needs with empathy and professionalism
Experience
- Previous experience in acute care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory; relevant internships or training programs are considered valuable
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer operation skills required for documentation and communication tasks
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and nursing practices is highly beneficial
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is advantageous for effective communication with diverse patients
- Strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role
