Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist in installing, servicing, and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on heating, ventilation, and cooling equipment.
- Learn to troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct basic plumbing, welding, and brazing tasks under direct supervision.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints and construction documents as you train.
- Assist with diagnosing problems in boilers, appliances, and mechanical components.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts used, and your apprentice logbook.
- Follow strict safety standards and building codes on every job site.
Candidate Requirements & Skills
- Certification: Hold a valid G2 or G3 Gas Fitter license (G2 is highly preferred).
- Experience: Strong mechanical knowledge or previous experience with tools and hands-on work.
- Education: Pre-apprenticeship college program or some HVAC/refrigeration schooling is highly preferred.
- Technical Literacy: Basic familiarity with reading schematics or technical diagrams.
- Physical Demands: Comfortable with physical labour, construction environments, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Mindset: Eagerness to learn, take direction, and study to progress through apprenticeship levels.
- Reliability: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for service vehicle travel).
Pay: $25.00-$60.00 per hour
