Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and skilled Mechanics who are willing to switch to the marine industry and are seeking full-time, long term work.
NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES YOU TO BE RESIDING IN/NEAR ORILLIA, ON, OR BE READY TO RELOCATE THERE FOR WORK.
Position: Marine Technician
Locations: Orillia
Hours: 40+ with opportunities for overtime
Pay: Depending on experience
Position Type: Long-Term Year-Round
Duties
- Complete pre-delivery and final delivery inspections
- Test and repair inboard and outboard engines, hulls, propellers, navigational systems, electrical systems, steering gears, and boat accessories using various diagnostic equipment
- Work with the CSR’s to provide proper diagnostic information, photos, videos and labour quotes
- Complete all internal documentation for evaluations and warranty work
- Monitor workflow to determine if scheduled time will be met or if an adjustment is needed to stay in
- budget
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a mechanic in the auto industry
- Familiarity with schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues
- Living in Orillia or willing to move to/near the city
- Inspect, test, repair, maintain (must know)
- Proficient using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and repair problems
- A team player needed
