Delta Dynamics is a gear drive specialist company in Delta BC. We provide a wide range of gears which support oil & gas, mining and forestry industries as well as local shipping terminals. We are currently seeking skilled individuals to join our company to operate a variety of CNC Lathes to produce small, to very large, precision Spur and Helical Gears. The CNC Lathe Machinist will contribute to the efficient production of high-quality parts, supporting our commitment to manufacturing excellence.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, primarily Fanuc-controlled equipment
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proof read and modify CNC programs to ensure accurate machining processes
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery
- Use precision measuring tools such as Micrometers ranging from 1" to 40", Gauge Blocks, Pin Gauges, Taper Verniers, Bore Gauges, Inside Micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing specifications to produce parts accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards
- Experience with Overhead Cranes, Slinging and Rigging
Skills
- Proficiency in reading G and M code, especially Fanuc controls
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to machining processes
- Basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations required in machining
- Familiarity with machining tools including Turning, Boring, Large Drills, Face Groove and Grooving tools - placement of tooling in turret
- Knowledge of CNC milling machines in addition to lathe operations is a plus
- Ability to move pallets over 100lbs with pallet jack
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on precision machining is preferred

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
