Position Overview
Scholars of Langley Willoughby is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Part-Time High School Math and Science Teacher to join our team. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive academic and personal impact on students. Our teachers are central to our success, and successful candidates will receive training in Scholars’ proven teaching methodology. Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
- BC or Canadian Teaching Certification (considered an asset)
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Education program or possession of a university degree
- Prior experience working with students (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- A genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to teach small groups of up to three students with strong classroom management
- Proficiency in teaching Math and/or Science up to Grade 12, including Advanced Functions, Calculus and Vectors, Data Management, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry
- Availability to work a minimum of two shifts per week during operating hours
Schedule
- Monday - Thursday between 3:00 - 8:00 pm
- Saturday between 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (required/preferred)
- Minimum of one year of tutoring experience (preferred)
Language Requirements
- English (required)
- French (considered an asset)

Commuting Requirement
- Must be able to reliably commute to Langley or relocate prior to start date
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
