We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Psychologist to join our growing team on a part-time basis.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to a diverse patient population. This role involves working closely with children and individuals requiring specialized mental health support. The Psychologist will contribute to research initiatives and data collection efforts to improve patient care and treatment outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to patients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, educators, and families to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in psychology, medical terminology, and therapeutic techniques through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Provisional or full registration licensure or certification as a Psychologist in Alberta.
- Experience or familiarity with developmental psychology and behavioural interventions.
- Knowledge of research methodologies and data collection techniques related to mental health studies.
- Excellent communication skills for working with patients, families, healthcare teams, and educational staff.
- Ability to apply medical terminology accurately within clinical documentation.
