Job Requirements:
-The Powder Coat Department consist of a batch system versus a continuous line.
- Selects product based on colour requirements and batches according to production schedules.
- Hangs product on racking and applies the appropriate masking products.
- Power washes and rinses product to ensure product is properly degreased.
- Moves the loaded product racks through the various processes - wash / dry-off / powder coating / cure oven.
- Applies the correct powder as defined on the work orders.
- Removes finished product from the racks and prepares the product for shipping.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Candidates need to be in good physical condition with the ability to complete repetitive lifts (up to 20 kg) from floor to shoulder height.
- Some very basic blue print reading is required to determine masking requirements.
- Previous powder coating experience is preferred.
- Must have strong technical/mechanical aptitude
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
