CNC Press Brake Operator
A well-established metal fabrication company in Central Alberta is seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Press Brake Operator to join its production team.
This position is suited to an experienced operator who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and can confidently manage machine setup, tooling selection, and forming operations with minimal supervision.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate CNC press brakes independently
- Select and install the appropriate tooling for each job
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications
- Form parts accurately according to required dimensions and tolerances
- Set up and operate plate rolls as required
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and conformance
- Safely handle, move, and organize steel and fabricated components
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes
- Complete routine machine checks and basic maintenance
- Identify and troubleshoot forming or equipment issues
- Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and production team members to meet scheduling requirements
- Assist with other fabrication tasks and projects as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience operating CNC press brakes
- Minimum three years of experience in metal fabrication or a related environment
- Strong blueprint and drawing interpretation skills
- Knowledge of press brake tooling, machine setup, and forming processes
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to safely operate a forklift; certification is considered an asset
- Experience operating overhead cranes is considered an asset
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
