Haldimand-Norfolk REACH is a multi-service agency, providing Child and Youth Mental Health Services, Autism & Behaviour Services, Developmental Services, Youth Services, Adult Counselling Services, and several Early Learning Intervention & Care services including EarlyON Child & Family Centres and the Community Action Program for Children.
H-N REACH serves as the Lead Agency for Haldimand Norfolk Children’s Mental Health Services, Coordinated Service Planning and the Student Nutrition Program in the Hamilton/Niagara Region. Through our Contact Unit, the agency serves as the single point of access for a variety of children’s services.

Wage Rate: Step 1 $26.38* - Step 2 $26.38* - Step 3 $27.63*
*(Rates include the Wage Subsidy, Wage Enhancement, and Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care grants as per current funder guidelines, for eligible individuals).

McKinnon Park Child Care Centre provides quality childcare and early learning for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We have been proudly serving the community for over 30 years and are an active participant in the Haldimand Norfolk Quality Initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Provide an early learning and developmentally rich environment for children in a group setting. In accordance with the Child Care & Early Years Act (CCYEA) and the policies & procedures at H-N REACH
- Develop programing with children guided by their interests, within play-based learning environments at the child care program
- Nurture authentic caring relationships, connections, and support the family unit
- Enrich children’s healthy development and support their growing sense of self
- Provide environments and experiences that engage children and families in the program
- Foster the foundations of How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years
- Participate in regular staff meetings, individual supervision, training, and professional learning
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma
- Registered in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
- A minimum of one year experience working in a licensed child care setting preferred
- Experience leading children’s activities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Possession of a current First Aid & CPR-C Certificate
- Verification of the required immunizations/immunity, as recommended by the local Medical Officer of Health
- Vulnerable Sector Record Check (includes Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check) and Children’s Aid Society Declaration/Release
- Possession of a valid driver’s licence, $2 million vehicle liability insurance, clear Driver Abstract and use of a vehicle.
