Cam Clark Auto Group is seeking a License Automotive Technician (EV knowledge is an asset) for our Cam Clark Ford location in Richmond, BC

Reporting to the Service Manager, the License Automotive Technician will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electric and hybrid vehicles to ensure our customers’ vehicles remain safe, reliable, and performing at the highest standards.

You will be accountable for:
- Diagnose vehicle concerns using advanced diagnostic tools and software, including EV-specific systems
- Perform maintenance and repairs on electric, hybrid, and conventional vehicles
- Inspect, test, and service high-voltage systems, batteries, and related components in accordance with safety standards
- Conduct routine maintenance, including vehicle inspections, system checks, and software updates
- Perform warranty repairs in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and procedures
- Clearly explain repair findings and recommendations to service advisors when required
- Ensure all vehicles meet safety and quality standards before return to customers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as required to support the service department
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Red Seal Automotive Service Technician certification (required)
- EV or hybrid vehicle training and/or certification (preferred; manufacturer training considered an asset)
- Minimum 2 years of dealership or automotive technician experience
- Strong understanding of electric vehicle systems, high-voltage components, and diagnostic processes
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- High level of integrity and attention to safety procedures
- Strong organizational and communication skills

Pay: $41.00-$50.00 per hour
