Job Summary

Duties
- Control access points by verifying tickets, IDs, and credentials for attendees, staff, vendors, and contractors to prevent unauthorized entry
- Monitor event areas using CCTV surveillance systems to identify suspicious activity or potential hazards in real-time
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by implementing conflict management techniques and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary
- Maintain vigilant surveillance throughout the event using CCTV and on-foot patrols to ensure safety standards are upheld
- Assist with loss prevention by observing for theft or vandalism and taking appropriate action according to protocols
- Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs to document any security-related occurrences or concerns during your shift
- Additional miscellaneous tasks as needed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of security procedures, conflict management, and crowd control techniques
- Experience with surveillance systems such as CCTV for monitoring large venues or events
- First aid certification and CPR training to provide immediate assistance in medical emergencies
- Smart Serve certification and proven work experience with venues serving alcohol preferred
- Background in law enforcement, military service, or security roles that demonstrate discipline and situational awareness preferred
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with guests, staff, law enforcement, and emergency personnel
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and CCTV operation enhances your effectiveness in safeguarding event assets
