Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating our CNC machine to produce precision parts. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge to ensure high-quality production standards. Experience with Lantek software preferred but not essential, and manufacturing processes is highly desirable. This position is for the afternoon shift.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC laser metal cutting machine
- Program CNC equipment using CAD drawings and CNC programming languages. Experience in Lantek software preferred but not essential.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the machining process to ensure precision and adherence to specifications.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed for material handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience with CNC programming, machining, and operation of CNC machines.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes including welding, press brake operation, and assembly.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, calipers, and basic math skills for measurements
- Ability to lift up to 30 kg and stand for long periods of time
- and calculations.
- Warehouse experience is a plus; certification in forklift operation is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with safety as a top priority.
