We are seeking a responsible, empathetic individual to play a role in improving the life of a female client who requires assistance while living in her home in Bragg Creek, Alberta (approximately a 35 minute drive from either SW or NW Calgary). Duties include the following:
- Monitoring and recording the client's condition, providing support and personal services
- Administer personal care for client such as aiding in hygiene, restroom, dressing and undressing
- Plan and prepare meals
- Provide care and companionship for client with crafts and other meaningful activities that engage mind and motor skills
- Daily light housekeeping duties such as washing dishes, laundry, dusting and making bed
REQUIREMENTS (depending on each individual client case)
- Driver’s license required
- Some secondary school education is an asset
- A Health care aide/Personal support worker certificate is beneficial but not required
- Home management experience is an asset
- First aid certification may be required
- Completion of a training program in care of the elderly, care of persons with disabilities, or in a related field may be required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
