Spartan Enhanced Property Management is seeking an experienced and professional Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of residential and mixed-use properties within our portfolio. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining tenant satisfaction, ensuring properties are safe and well-maintained, and supporting the overall success of our property management operations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for tenants and residents
- Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants
- Address tenant concerns, complaints, and service requests in a professional and timely manner
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, common areas, and grounds
- Monitor the condition, cleanliness, and safety of assigned properties
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and contractor activities
- Follow up on work orders to ensure timely completion
- Assist with tenant move-ins, move-outs, and unit turnovers
- Enforce building policies and ensure compliance with lease agreements
- Identify maintenance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tenant communications, and building activities
- Assist with budgeting, vendor coordination, and property improvement projects
- Respond to after-hours emergencies when required
- Work closely with the Property Manager and operations team to ensure efficient building operations
- Support occupancy retention through excellent customer service and proactive communication
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in building management, property management, facilities management, or a related field
- Strong tenant relations and customer service experience
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience coordinating maintenance and repair activities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software is an asset
- Knowledge of residential tenancy practices and building operations is preferred
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel between properties as required
