Position Scope
Due to continued business growth and organizational expansion, we are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support the delivery of HR programs and services across the organization. Reporting to the Human Resources Generalist, this role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, HR compliance, training, and employee engagement.
Job Duties
- Provide support across the full spectrum of Human Resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, employee communications, training, and HR compliance.
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including posting job advertisements, screening applications, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing employment offers and onboarding documentation.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and provide timely support, guidance, or escalation as appropriate.
- Assist employees with work permit, visa, and immigration-related processes, ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.
- Support payroll processing and benefits administration by maintaining accurate employee records and updating HRIS databases.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports and metrics, including headcount reports, employee movement reports, organizational charts, and workforce data analysis.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Support employee relations matters and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, training programs, recognition activities, and company events.
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Perform other HR-related duties and special projects as required.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist or coordinator capacity.
- Solid understanding of BC Employment Standards and HR best practices.
- Experience supporting multiple HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR systems, including ADP, UKG, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Cantonese and/or Mandarin language skills are considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
