Product & Technology Manager
Location: 1801 McAra St., Regina, Saskatchewan
Work arrangement: In person
Reports to: Founder & CEO
Direct reports: 2 initially, growing to 3 within six months
Compensation: $100,000–$150,000 annually, plus benefits
The Role
We are hiring a Product & Technology Manager to own both product direction and software engineering execution.
We need a strong software engineer who can lead people, make product decisions, and ship. You will help decide what gets built, validate that it solves a real client problem, and ensure the team delivers reliable, commercially valuable software.
This is not a strategy-only role. You must understand the code, challenge technical decisions, remove roadblocks, and take ownership from concept through launch.
Responsibilities
- Own the software product and technology roadmap.
- Decide what gets built, in what order, and why.
- Validate product ideas against client needs and commercial value.
- Lead product development from concept through release and support.
- Make key decisions on architecture, platforms, tooling, and technical priorities.
- Translate business and client needs into clear software requirements.
- Lead 2 direct reports, growing to 3 within six months.
- Hold the team accountable for quality, deadlines, and results.
- Set standards for code quality, testing, security, documentation, and deployment.
- Ensure products are reliable, scalable, maintainable, and commercially useful.
- Prevent projects from stalling in planning, experimentation, or rework.
- Work directly with the CEO on product priorities, investment, risk, and results.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of software engineering or software product-development experience.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of software architecture, application development, APIs, databases, cloud systems, testing, deployment, and security.
- Proven experience building and launching production software.
- Experience leading software engineers or technical teams.
- Ability to review technical work and identify weak architecture and unnecessary complexity.
- Strong product judgment and the ability to connect technical decisions to client value and revenue.
- Ability to work full time, in person, from the Regina office.
