Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations.
Duties:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Plan routes and ensure timely deliveries
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic automotive repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driver's abstract
- End dump experience
- Super B experience
- Willing to work out of town for longer periods of time
- Proven experience with commercial truck driving
- Proven experience driving on winter roads
- Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Basic automotive repair skills preferred
- Ability to pass alcohol and drug testing
