Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated WRT Certified Flood Restoration Technician to join our team. This role involves performing flood and water damage restoration services with a focus on restoring properties efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning, handling hand tools and power tools, and possess construction or restoration knowledge. As a vital part of our restoration team, you will help clients recover from water-related damages while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Conduct flood and water damage restoration tasks, including water extraction, drying, and dehumidification
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform demolition, cleaning, and repair work
- Assist with the setup and operation of drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers
- Perform cleaning of affected areas, including mold remediation when necessary
- Use construction experience to assist with minor repairs or rebuilds as needed
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members
- Document job progress and communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure all equipment is properly maintained
Requirements
- WRT Certification or willingness to obtain certification if not already certified
- Prior experience in cleaning, restoration, or construction is preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of flood restoration processes and techniques is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting heavy loads and working in confined spaces
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to various job sites
- Valid driver’s license preferred; reliable transportation required
- Ability to pass background checks as required by the company policies
Qualifications
- Experience in a construction or restoration environment
- WRT certified, other IICRC certifications as asset
- Ability to safely use a variety of power tools and equipment
- Proven customer service skills
- Class 5 driver's license
Summary
The emergency restoration tech is the go-to person to get things done onsite. They perform a wide variety of tasks and are the face of FG to our valued customers and partners in the insurance industry. Working alongside other FG team members they play on each- others strength and receive mentorship through the completion of tasks/projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
