Medical Aesthetician – Consultation & Growth Specialist

The Derm Clinic is a physician-led medical aesthetics and dermatology practice committed to delivering exceptional patient care through evidence-based treatments, advanced technology, and personalized treatment plans.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated Medical Aesthetician who is passionate about patient care, confident in consultations, and driven by results. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term patient relationships, creating comprehensive treatment plans, and helping patients confidently move forward with treatments that will help them achieve their goals.
This is not a treatment-only position. The successful candidate will be expected to perform treatments, conduct consultations, recommend physician-grade skincare, and confidently present comprehensive treatment packages.
As the clinic continues to grow, this position offers the opportunity to advance into a Lead Aesthetician role with increasing responsibility in consultations, mentoring, and day-to-day team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive aesthetic consultations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's goals.
- Perform aesthetic treatments using advanced technologies, including laser and RF-based devices (training provided where required).
- Educate patients on physician-grade skincare and recommend appropriate home care regimens.
- Recommend treatment packages and skincare products that complement treatment plans.
- Build long-term patient relationships through exceptional service and clinical care.
- Maintain accurate documentation, treatment photography, and clinical records.
- Maintain the clinic's established protocols, workflows, and standards.
- Work collaboratively with the physician and team to provide a consistently excellent patient experience.
- Continuously develop knowledge of aesthetic treatments, devices, and skincare products.
Consultation & Sales Expectations
A significant portion of this role involves consultations and treatment planning.
The successful candidate should be comfortable discussing treatment recommendations, physician-grade skincare, treatment packages, and treatment investment with patients. Confidence in asking for the sale and helping patients commit to appropriate treatment plans is an essential requirement of this position.
Success in this role is measured not only by patient satisfaction and treatment outcomes, but also by your ability to convert consultations into booked treatments and packages.
A minimum consultation conversion rate of 60% (qualified consultations) is an expected performance benchmark for this position, with top performers consistently exceeding this standard.

Qualifications
- Medical Aesthetician certification.
- Experience working in a medical aesthetics clinic.
- Proven success conducting consultations and converting them into booked treatments and treatment packages.
- Strong knowledge of physician-grade skincare and confidence recommending skincare regimens.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable discussing treatment plans ranging from several hundred to several thousand dollars.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional, dependable, and accountable.
- Eagerness to learn advanced laser and energy-based technologies.
- Leadership potential and a desire to grow within the practice.
- Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a strong track record of consultation conversion, package sales, skincare sales, or other measurable performance metrics in a previous role. Growth Opportunity

The successful candidate may have the opportunity to progress into a Lead Aesthetician position, serving as the clinic's primary consultation specialist while helping mentor future team members and supporting the day-to-day operations of the aesthetic department.
