Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Concrete Batcher/Plant Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating and maintaining concrete batching equipment and ensuring the efficient production of high-quality concrete. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, experience with heavy equipment, and a strong safety mindset to support our construction and manufacturing projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate concrete batching plant equipment to accurately measure and mix raw materials according to specifications
- Maintain and troubleshoot batching machinery, including conveyors, mixers, and silos
- Load raw materials using forklifts or other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections and perform minor repairs or adjustments on plant machinery
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Assist with the setup, assembly, or disassembly of plant components as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality standards
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and accurately dispatch as needs change.
- Previous Concrete field related skills would be an asset.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to plant machinery and equipment maintenance
- Experience operating forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment such as loaders or cranes
- Knowledge of machining, welding, assembly, and general manufacturing processes
- Background in construction or warehouse environments is preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in a manufacturing setting
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
