Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus, including special dietary needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, specials, and operational improvements.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the restaurant industry.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
