1 on 1 Tutor was founded in 2019 and is locally owned and operated in Calgary, Alberta. They provide private tutoring services for children from grade 1 to 12, in math, science, English language-arts and social studies. Sessions are offered online as well as in-person.
Job description
We are looking to hire a Calgary-based tutor for English Language-Arts for grades 1 - 12. Applicants must be located in Calgary (no exceptions) and available to go to public libraries and students' homes. This will be a hybrid position, where there will be online tutoring sessions and in-person sessions at the student's home or at a library. Applicants must be willing to travel.
Expected start date: September 7, 2026
Applicants must have a good understanding of Alberta's curriculum for junior and senior high English. The successful applicant will have a strong academic background, ability to teach and foster a professional relationship with students.
Preferences will be given to those with a related undergraduate degree and/or those with tutoring experience. Upon application, please submit your high school transcript. We thank all applicants and will contact those we wish to interview.
