Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including therapeutic, relaxation, or specialized techniques
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable treatment environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Consult with clients to understand their health concerns and preferences before each session
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or wellness practices
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client progress in compliance with privacy regulations
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new techniques, and relevant health information to enhance service quality
- Ensure excellent customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere and addressing client questions or concerns professionally
Qualifications
- Valid massage therapy license or certification as required by state regulations
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to health conditions and treatment plans (preferred)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and build rapport with diverse clientele
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality
- Prior experience in a wellness or healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific techniques as needed
