Overview
The Associate Pastor of Youth and Family Ministries plays a vital role in fostering spiritual growth and community engagement among youth and their families within the church. This position involves developing and implementing programs that nurture faith, provide mentorship, and strengthen family connections. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, compassionate communication, and a passion for guiding young people and their families in their spiritual journeys. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of youth while supporting the overall mission of the church.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for Junior and High School age youth that promote community through fellowship, fun and faith development.
- Responsible for recruiting and facilitating the training of volunteers.
- You will be responsible to make sure that all church policies, guidelines - including the church protection plan, are being followed.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities for children and families that promote community through fellowship, fun and faith development.
- You will serve as part of the leadership team at our annual Vacation Bible School.
- You will be responsible for preaching as outlined and in conjunction with the senior pastor.
- Give oversight for outreach and evangelism for non-churched youth and their families.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Serve as a voting member of the Elders Board.
- In partnership with the Elders: Oversee new member classes, oversee the observance of communion, visit congregants in need for their spiritual and emotional care.
Experience
- Education: A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Theology or a related field.
- A criminal record check
- Plan to Protect Certification, or willingness to become certified.
- Experience in Children and Youth Ministries is an asset.

Pay: $52,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
