The Regional CAPC Coordinator provides regional leadership to strengthen collaboration among Indigenous organizations and community partners delivering CAPC and CPNP programming throughout Northwest British Columbia. This position supports knowledge sharing, partnership development, capacity building, and program coordination to improve health and wellness outcomes for Indigenous children, pregnant individuals, young families, and communities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate regional CAPC and CPNP initiatives across participating Indigenous organizations.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with regional partners, health authorities, Friendship Centres, Indigenous organizations, and community agencies.
- Coordinate and facilitate Communities of Practice that encourage collaboration, shared learning, and innovative programming.
- Plan and facilitate regional meetings, workshops, networking events, and training opportunities.
- Support regional partners in implementing evidence-informed and culturally safe programming.
- Promote Indigenous approaches to maternal, child, and family wellness while respecting local knowledge, culture, and traditions.
- Coordinate knowledge exchange activities and share promising practices throughout the region.
- Assist regional partners with program planning, implementation, reporting, and evaluation.
- Prepare reports, meeting minutes, presentations, and funding documentation as required.
- Monitor regional project activities and assist with collecting outcome and performance data.
- Support regional communications and partnership development opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Finance Department, and partner organizations to ensure project objectives and reporting requirements are achieved.
- Travel throughout Northwest British Columbia as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Human Services, Early Childhood Education, Community Development, Indigenous Studies, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- Experience coordinating community-based programs or regional initiatives.
- Experience working respectfully with Indigenous communities and organizations.
- Strong facilitation, relationship-building, and partnership development skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience preparing reports, coordinating meetings, and maintaining accurate records.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms.
- Valid BC Driver's Licence and willingness to travel throughout the Northwest region.
- Criminal Record Check satisfactory to the employer.
