We are looking to hire a driven, motivated, and detail‑oriented Accounts Supervisor with prior experience in a similar role to oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations.
Position Overview
The Accounts Supervisor will be responsible for managing the overall accounting functions of the company. This role works closely with senior leadership and plays a key part in financial oversight, reporting, and process improvement. The successful candidate will report directly to the President and Operations Manager and will be supported by an accounting assistant.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all company accounting activities
- Review and ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing
- Record transactions and process vendor payments
- Prepare and maintain truck financial reports
- Generate and review driver statements
- Track and maintain employee hours and records
- Coordinate with third‑party accounting and payroll teams
- Work closely with the dispatch team to ensure billing accuracy and timeliness
- Follow up on receivables and assist with fund collection
- Provide financial insights and cost‑saving strategies to management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in an Accounts Supervisor or similar accounting role
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is an asset
- Strong understanding of billing, payables, receivables, and reporting
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams
